Need more RAM

Don't be too sure about that.

My Q6600 system was overclocked from day 1.

I started out with 2x1GB DDR2-800 ECC RAM... corsair I think - they were givern to me.

I then added a 4GB set of G.Skill DDR2-1066. It didn't affect my oveclock at all.

Then, when I was able to sell my original 2GB set, I bought a second 4GB set of the G.Skill stuff.

Here is the set I would get.. same sets I used:

Although I would probably wait a bit until prices come down again... They are at $100 now.. a couple months ago they were at $55.

when people don't see any replies because forums push threads off the first page, they sometimes 'bump' it back up to the first page for more views hoping for responses.

Usually fine to do, but don't abuse it. Makes powerful people angry.
 
Or, they will bump your thread to get a 50 post count quicker. And I would not do that.lol
