I fixed my problem but I'm conufsed as to the cause.

Ok, last night my slave took a dump on me. I could hear the arm stuck trying to read the same spot on the plates. It happened 3 times all causing a BSD giving me a page error.

Needless to say after the 3rd I removed the slave drive. This was immediatly after the 3rd crash. I was attempting to recover as much data as I could before removal.

After that I rebooted everything went fine but I had no sound. Further inspection found all my souind card drivers gone. Along with the Game Theater XP control panel. Simple fix Uninstall the old program. Which for some reason weas still in my add/remove programs list. Reboot reinstall drivers and reboot.

Everything works fine now. What I want to know is;
Could the Slave Drive failure have caused these drivers and the game theater programs to become corrupt? If yes, was this due to the Primary attempting to access files while the BCD occured causing the drive to stop?

If so should I reformat my Primary and reinstall everything fresh to prevent future unforseen errors?

She runs like a champ again I'm just curious as to initial cause of my files missing or corrupted on top of is my line of thinking correct.

Edit: And no slave drive failure was due to age it was an old 10g Maxtor probably 4-5 years old. Was just using it for MP3's and back up's for files and what not. Power source is a rock sold Antec 550.
