SO i just recently built my new computer and i have this weird issue. it doesnt happen all the time, but every once in a while (so far happened last on friday and once today) the computer will freeze up, the monitors will refresh, and then the background will be black and my mouse will move extremely slow. every time i have to reboot before everything will be fine.

(also a quick inquiry: my boot time is about 45 seconds to a minute. is that average?)

o running win 7 64 bit

Did you manually set the timings and voltage for the gskill, or leave it on AUTO?

boot time depends on all the crap you have loading at startup. ;) 45s doesn't sound too bad.

no its on auto. should i change it?

and as far as time for start up goes, i figured it was ok, just was trying to get less but its not a big deal lol

Yah, try manual settings matching the manufacturer's specifications.

alright... checked in bios settings of ram and even though it was auto, the clocks were correct in accordance to the manufactures clocks

again, if they're set to auto, change them -- manually set them. sometimes, auto doesn't work quite right.

Even on auto it still tells you what they are actually at. Are you suggesting that it reports the wrong numbers on auto?

As already mentioned, set the voltage manually.
Auto doesnt set the voltage correctly and is the main cause of memory problems that I am now seeing.
