Need help with flashdrive.

I have a Patriot 4Gb thumb/flash drive and all the sudden it stopped working. I was just using it a couple of minutes ago, but when I plugged it into my front USB slots on my case, it gave me the "USB device not recognized and it might have malfunctioned" message. Now when I try it in my other USB slots (that worked a few minutes ago), they also don't detect the drive. I also tried it on other computers, they don't recognize it either.

I'm not sure how plugging the drive in my front USB ports can cause such a problem, does anyone know what's going on? Anyone know how to fix this?
 
My 256MB Sony did the same.

I believe it's dead, or atleast mind was when it experienced the same symptons you're getting.
