Need help w/ disassembly!

Hey [H]'ers, my brother gave me an old Compaq 5834 as an early christmas gift (he knows I'm always on the lookout for spare computer stuff with which to mess around). I'm really digging this case, the interior is huge and it's just begging for some plexi :D

Now I'm no beginner with computer assembly, I've put together my last three computers, and I've worked on countless beige boxes for family members. However, this case has left me stumped. I'm trying to completely disassemble it so I can plan out what I'd like to do as far as mods, paint jobs, etc. But for the life of me, I cannot get the fricken' front bezel off the rest of the case! It's a, well the case design is eccentric to say the least, all the guts (mobo, drives, psu, everything) slide out the back, and the surrounding case and bezel are left as one unit. I can see some pins (they're not screws, no threads) sticking through the front metal from the bezel but I can't see if they're responsible for holding the bezel on or not.

Has anyone worked with this case in the past? My camera's charging right now, so I hope to post pics later if they'll help.

Thanks!

It has been a while since I hacked a Comcrap for someone, but if my memory serves me right, you'll need to take the top of the case off in order to remove the front bezel.

Hmm, not for this case. The top and sides are all one piece. The bottom is more or less connected as well, I haven't been able to remove that either.

shine in a torch and look to where the clips connect...
or email compaq/look on their online knowledge base (if they have one)
