I am building my pc right now and have a question, the X-plate for my slk947u is blocking one of the mobo mouting holes, is it okay to skip just one hole? its on a lanparty ultra B mobo

I would agree that you need to use all 4 mounting holes for your backplate.

Its usually ok to skip a mobo mounting hole BUT if its a mounting hole near your cpu then it "might" cause more unneeded vibrating around your cpu area. Prolly not a big deal but something to think about when you have a heavy heatsink+fan...

ohh my bad, sorry, read you wrong. yeah you can usually skip one. if there are heavy anythings in the area, check the board for warpage after a few months to make sure the weight isn't a problem

you can find plastic pieces that go on the back of the motherboard, just cut it up and see if you can put it or glue it in a good position to stop the motherboard from touching the metal which could cause ESD death.
