First the main powerhouses
Intel Core i7 2600K @5GHz
Diamond 5970
I'll be moving to a 3rd world country in a month and am looking for a way to take my computer with me.
Over there there are a LOT off brownouts so I was thinking, to avoid damaging my components, of getting an overseas 220V UPS. What do you guys think? I'm really confused not sure how I'm gonna set it up there, should I get a cheap adapter to get the 220V plug and then plug that directly into the UPS or should I go with something like this... http://www.amazon.com/Goldsource®-STU-1000-Voltage-Transformer-Converter/dp/B0022TVX2Q/ref=pd_cp_e_0
The PSU is a Seasonic X850 PSU and I hear its actually better to run Power supplies on 220V's (better efficiency) so what should i do??? I was even thinking about getting a European model PSU just so I can get the 220V plug.
