I can buy a 6800nu on newegg for 194 shipped. Or I can buy a 6800GT from a guy I know for $275

I can't decide if its worth the xtra money to get the better card. How much better is the GT compared to a 6800nu that unlocked 16x6?

About 40% better, or if you get lucky, like me, you can unlock OC to the 6800GT core speed and generally most can get up to 800Mhz on that memory for the 6800nu. Which drops the speed advantage pretty damn low.

My 6800nu ( a BFG 6800oc) does 384Mhz core and 804 memory. This brings me almost up to 6800GT speeds.
 
I have the BFG 6800OC and wish I had the GT. I like it and have all my pipes unlocked, but I think the GT is worth the extra $$.
 
both are good cards.

really it just comes down to a personal choice as to how much money you can afford to spend.
