I'll try to make this short. Has to be around 24-26inches.
It's for 50% pc gaming, 30% ps3/xbox360 gaming and 20% bluray movies. Budget is $480usd. I live in california so dell store is no no.

Current choices:

Dell u2410(bing+ebay=485$) -- it's ebay so worried about warranty. Can't buy from dell (CA 9.25%tax + bullshit recycling fee).

Nec EA231WMi - just started researching this. lag in games seems to be the problem? price is great at amazon for me.

Samsung p2570hd - love that's also a tv. cheapest of the 3, but it's a tn panel. Any better alternatives?

this.

either buy it from Dell or an outlet or find another monitor I guess

up to ~$500 on 24-26" for gaming, TN isn't a bad choice in that regard (you want low lag but don't want a TN panel? only other option there is IPS which is JMOD), the Hanns-G 28" seems to be very popular within your rough requirements, with your budget you might even be able to swing two of them

this looks nice:

this has a ton of inputs/features, and fits your budget:

2570 without tuner/TV features:

hopefully at least got you thinking about some more options?
