I have a good line on a deal for both of these cards. I just got into video cards and really do not know how to tell the better card. I know there are people on here that are more than able to tell me the diffs, and which is better.

1) NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4200

2) MSI GeForce FX 5200

If you can badger get an ATI 9600 Pro, that way you'll at least get DX9 eye candy.
 
unless they are 20 bucks apiece forget it. 9600 is the bare min requirement these days.
 
I do not need a card that is DX9 compatible. Either of these cards will do me fine, I was just wondering what was the better.

I was told both are about 1-2 years old, but the GeForce FX retailed for about 128.00 New and the GeForce4 was over 500.00 New, and was considered a top of the line card for its release...which the FX was a budget card.

It this right?
