Hello all I am new to the forums but anyways, I have a extra 5k sitting around and I have decided to build a new computer but I am not sure what to get. So If you guys cab give me some advice it would be really helpful. Heres what I picked out so far though:

CPU:
Intel Core 2 Duo x6800
Or
AMD Fx-62

Ram:
Undecided

Hard Drive:
2 150gb WD raptors
3 Segate 750gb

Video Card: I am not quite sure If I should buy a new one or use my current one until a DX10 compatible card comes out. What should I get if I were to buy one right now?

I was thinking about getting a

ATi x1950XTX 512MB
OR
Nvidia GeForce 7950GTX

What do you guys think?

Cooling: I need some help choosing either water cooling or air? which one is more practical and what kind do you recommend? I will most likely not overclock.

Optical Drive:
Most likely two plextor PX-716SA drives.

Power Supply: Also undecided I dont know how much I need.

Case: Recommendations please.

FWIW: I would go with the Core 2 Duo over the FX-62. I went from a X2 3800+ to a E6400 and it was well worth it.
 
I personally have the Antec Sonata II case and power supply and its enough for me. I just built a e6300 system with a Gigabyte DS3 motherboard and have been very happy.

Asus P5W64 WS Pro Motherboard
Corsair XMS DDR2-800
7900GTO 512MB

Any higher priced Thermaltake Case should be fine (I personally have the mambo and it only costed me $30 after rebate and it has good cooling)
 
I was looking around and I found the corsair XMS2 Dominator is it worth it? or should i get the XMS2-DDR800? So You guys recommend the x6800 right? Which one is better the ds3 or the Asus P5W64 WS Pro Motherboard?
