I need to buy a system for my primary desktop / dev machine. I'd like to get something powerful but not necessarily loud and hot (my office is small so too much computer heats it up like crazy). I'm considering buying Merom chip and putting it in a desktop system. Has anyone else done this? Any advice in general for this?
