I have got four registered PC2100 Ram. Two 1 gig modules and two 512 modules. My current setup is a 2.4 Ghz P4 with 1 gig of PC2100 non-ecc unbuffered ram. What system board / CPU options are available for me to make use of the three GB of registered memory to replace my current setup. I dont want to exceed spending more than $400. The primary use of this system is for video editing, 3D modeling, Application development, and usual gaming :D The memory is made by samsung.

well...
registered DIMMs are a damn common requirement on duallies
but then $400 is a pretty tight budget for 2 CPUs and mobo
( I assume its not just for the mobo?)
but then those aps would benefit from an SMP rig

unfortunately, budget SMP is AMD, and video loves hyperthreading
(generally the aps are optimized for it)

What is your current motherboard? It may be able to use the registered RAM (but not mixed with your current RAM)

My current board is a Asus P4B533-E. It only takes ECC/Non-ECC un-buffered memory.
Yeah the $400 is the budget for both the sys board and cpu, thus I am only looking for a single cpu setup

You could probably find an opteron and an opteron mobo for that price.
