Need a Gamma and color program For my new LCD (LG L1720P) ..it seems the contrast is really down or i am not adjusting it right. Anyone give me a hand? :confused:
 
None with your software? Try Samsungs site, look for "natural color".

Check out Monitor Calibration Wizard, search for it on Google. It's brightness settings aren't all that great, but for color and grayscale it is the best on the market. Of course, the color won't be more accurate just mor detailed.

As a rule you set grayscale first, (this is the proper setting of your brightness and contrast controls) you can’t get good color with out proper black and white. After grayscale you go for gamma in each color, usually takes a few tries because they interact with each other. If your using a software program you will need to reboot between settings for the computer so load your new profile. Once you get all that set up your brightness and contrast are the leftover components, don’t mess with them or you will have to start over again.

Are you referring to monitor calibration wizard? that is exactly how that program works, the exact order. it's a great program.

Only one problem: my monitor has unusually low GAMMA. What I do is set the gamma in my driver level app (Nvidia) much higher, THEN do the Mon Cal Wizard. It works much better, but still not very bright, not bright enough for a lot of games.

In your opinion, what is the best calibration utility out there? MCW is the best I tried. I looked for Natrual color on Samsung, but it's only for LCDs apparently. I also downloaded "MagicTune" from them, haven't tried it yet.
