sorry for this n00b question. I tried using the calculator but i dont know a lot of my own voltages lol. I currently have a sparkle 300W running 3 80gig hard drives, a 9800 pro, and a DVD burner on a barton 2500+ 1.8ghz oc to 2.2ghz, and i dont think i'm getting enough power because after stressing my computer for about 30 minutes it will just restart - do i need a 350W or 400W power supply? i'm on a budget ... ~$50. Thanks

not sure but the built-in shutdown temperature of my processor is 20 degrees C higher than it gets under stress - and i've seen temperatures go 4 or 5 degrees higher and everything was still okay - this was before i put in a 3rd hard drive and my dvd burner

n00b,

First, underclock the CPU. What happens?

Next, what do you have for RAM (number of sticks, capacity, etc.)?

Third, what kind of motherboard.

Thank you for your cooperation.

returning the cpu/mobo back to defaults - same thing happens

running 2x256 Buffalo Technology memory sticks DDR400 dual channel

Mobo - shuttle an35n ultra

Take one of the Buffalo's out and run it with just one 256MB stick.
