Mysterious Windows Installer Problem

So I have a computer here with the following specs

ECS K7VTA3
AMD 2000xp+
valueshare memory 256 x 2
generic case
generic psu
MSI Geforce 4mx
sb live value
sea gate 80gb

Here is the problem, it was running at arround 66 degrees Celsius, then I swapped the Heatsink for a better performing one and used thermal paste, evercool hsf brought it down to arround 48 - 53 deg. So I installed Windows xp and it everything worked fine for arround a day, and then we turned it on again, and everytime we would turn it on the xp professional screen would load to the loading screen and then restart. Then I t ried to run xp Setup and it would bring up the error message

File \i386\kdcom.dll could not be loaded error code is # 4.

This is the dos based blue screen version of the setup not the one with teh windows interface. So I swapped the hard drive for a new one seagate 20 gb, some crucial.com memory, antec powersupply, ati 7500 pro videocard, cdrw instead of the dvd-rw and it still gives me the message.

I am totally at loss , so its either the motherboard or the cpu did running the cpu at 66 degrees for the time make the cpu unstable or is the motherboard pretty much dead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Brad

Restore Cd that came with the computer.

buddy, does your comp boot in safe mofe? update your bios, usually works. thast the only thing that can go wrong.

http://www.windll.com/library-k_100.php

get the file that it says cant load and replace it when u get into safe mode. and update bios. msi boards have a nice utility program for it, scans by itself for updates. its called msi live update or something i believe.

update: i think it makes u pay for that .dll file, w00t. wow, fat gates makes u pay for ONE SINGLE .dll file.

its some place called Mind computer, its not my computer its my friends computer, but maybe i'll try the bios update thing.

I have tried other versions of windows legal and pirated .

ITs hardware problem easily
