I got my Viewsonic VX924 19" 4ms LCD today. All I can say is "WOW!!!!" I am very impressed with this monitor. I took a few quick pics, and they are below. I know they are not the best, but you can get an idea.

There is NO GHOSTING what-so-ever.  It looks better than my Viewsonic 95f+b CRT, IMHO. The colors are bright. The video play back looks great.

I can only see 1 dead pixel, but its only viewable if the screen is completely black around it, no biggie. The only other thing is there seems to be a little leakage?!? (I'm not sure even if you would call it that) at the top of the monitor and this can only be seen on a VERY dark or black screen. Is it normal for LCDs to do that? Other than those two things, this monitor is great!!! :D

Yeah, some backlight leakage is common but some of the better LCDs have less than that. I don't believe your remark about "no ghosting", try testing the monitor with PixPerAn if you have time.

I don't care if you believe me about no ghosting or not, lol. If I can't see any in FarCry, HL2, Doom 3, UT2004 and WolfET Fortress, then thats no ghosting to me. :D

Man, ghosting is different to EVERYONE. Someone people just see it easily, and some people just don't. I don't see them, even if you pointed out for me (happened) I'll still tell you that although I can see what you are talking about, I don't notice it and it doesn't bother me. Seriously, I have to keep thinking about ghosting to actually notice it, and STILL THEN it doesn't even bother me.

Ghosting is overrated. Having only 1 good resolution to use is underrated.

4ms is very impressive. Is there any ghosting with the solitaire test? Drag the cards back and forth along the screen to check for ghosting.

good to hear JediK. Like you say, "ghosting" is all in the eye of the beholder really.

A few questions if you don't mind?

- how are the viewing angles? are they restrictive?
- is the movie playback subject to any twinkling in your opinion, especially on large areas of colour?
- do you notice any difference between the VGA and DVI connection?

I just sit at my desk, and can view great from there. When at the desk it looks perfect. But if I go to far to the left, then the viewing gets difficult. This isn't a prob for me though since I just sit at the desk and use it.

There is just "slightly". The only way I can tell it though if the video is doing a blue sky or something like that. Also, there are times on large areas where I don't notice it at all.

When I hooked it up, I only did the DVI. I wasn't even going to bother with the VGA. If you really want to know though. I could hook it up for a few and see.
