A week ago, I ran Prime95 for 24hours no problems. I just opened up the PC to see if I could do the cache mod. Put the heatsink back on and now prime 95 creates an error after about 30 seconds. I have higher temps too.

Did I put the heatsink back on...AND I did take some thermal paste on...Could that have done it

No I just put a plastic bag around my finger and rubbed it in a bit, it seemed as though there was too much on there.......

Should I nail polish remover the heatsink AND the lil' black core...then seat the heatsink back on.

Would that make Prime95 fail though

OMG! Dude not only will it now run Prime 95, but after nail polish removing (on one of those cotten stick things) on the core and the HSF then re-applying the paste....I know have temps compareable to a 3900RPM fan I had in there!

Im at 46C, and thats the highest I can get it

Thanks for your help man:D
