Figured I would post these seeing not many have the Raven. It is a pretty sexy case, with the exception that it does have some plastic parts. But even the plastic is thick and looks very nice and does not look cheap at all. The rest of the case is all Metal and very well built. As yo ucan see the Case allows for almost no cables to be seen.

EDIT (The temps are very low the CPU OC 4.2Ghz runs 25c idle and 35c-40c full.)
This should actually be 25c-40c idle and 44-54 Load you were correct I write them down wrong. and will post the screen shortly The 280GTX OC SLi run around 54-60c running full.

Please note I am only running 4.1Ghz on this test and not 4.2Ghz. I can rerun at 4.2 if you are not happy with the results. I did the screen from remote admin and am running an FTP so I did not want to tinker remotely incase it locked up.

Another thing I found well running remotely is the Super PII is not a good example for CPU temps. Does anyone know if Super PII uses all cores or just the first? the i7 shows only the first HT maxed with the others not so much.

Very nice job.
Any particular reason you went with Intel i7 965 instead of 920 (better overclocking performance?)
Once again nice job

What a nice computer, and case. Your pics inspired me to do some dusting and cleaning of my PC, looks good now too. :D [Oh, and welcome to [H].]

Hah, yea I never used one / looked into it... but was just pointing that out incase -_-

Still looks like a decent build in the Raven... I was skeptical how that case would end up...

Man when I heard silverstone was making a case with that layout, I started imagining an OEM version of the Omen....

Still an interesting case.

How are your hdd temps?

I have gotten up to 4.6 stable did some futuremark tests with it. Still working on Breaking 4.8 on air. Prior to having the V10 I had the Coolit Systems Elite cooler which worked really well, however the noise was abit much running full gun. The V10 is interesting if you watch the CPU temps the graph is like a heart beat it spikes at 55-60 then drops down again sharply. I suspect that is when the TEC kicks in. I read alot of the reviews on the V10 thus far I am getting better results then alot of thier tests. I was also running a Noctua cooler with the LG1366 bracket which was not bad very silent but no were near the same low temps on full load.

For measuring your temps download the latest version of Real Temp.

BTW, there is an icon that says quote next to it on the bottom far right of each persons reply. You can click on that and reply to their post instead of copying and pasting everything including how long they've been registered and their sig.

Yeah I figured that out sortly after the first two cut and pasts :)

what about OOCT? its shows the same as everest. But I will look into this Real Temp to test with it.

Cool downloading it now :)

So I installed the application and getting abit higher temps however if you take my screen above this matches the actual core numbers of each. The temp for CPU I was using is the average. the other thing I noticed is that Super PII only used 15% CPU with the 32M setting? If that is true then I need to do more test with another program... Usualy my games use alot more CPU then Super PII. What is a good load tester?

Real Temp is going to be one of the most accurate at reading your actual i7 core temps.

When reporting temps you need to just go off the hottest core instead of the average because that's what is going to matter. Also, you need to download the latest version of Prime95 or another stress testing program that puts all four cores under heavy load at once. The more recent version of OCCT should work alright as well but I usually always just stick with Prime95 and Linpack. With Super Pi you would need to open multiple instances to get all four cores involved and even then Super Pi doesn't push a CPU that hard. Download a program called LinX which uses Linpack if you want to see what the max temp is of your processor.

I may just have to get a v10 then. I am sick of this watercooling setup I have.
