My Shuttle crashed

I just built the system in my sig a couple days ago and she won't post now.

I got everything up and running and tried playing the new Splinter Cell demo. Everything seemed ok and then it just crashed. The system stayed powered up in as much as the fans were still spinning, but it wouldn't post. I've reseated every component, clearing the BIOS inbetween every change and everytime it will power up but not post.

The only thing that felt really hot was the power supply, everything else seemed ok though I'm going to test the CPU & RAM in another computer today.

Any ideas as to what would make it do this? Or more info needed?
 
the power supply in your Shuttle may not be able to put out enough juice for that video card, but that's just a guess. Otherwise, you'll have to isolate the component causing the problem. FYI, the P4 can run in single-channel memory mode if you need to take one of the sticks of RAM out.
 
The PSU may have died, but a typical Shuttle can easily handle that load.
 
Well, the CPU is shot. I have no idea why as the heatsink didn't seem abnormally hot when it crashed and I'm almost positive I had good contact between the cooler and CPU. And the system itself still works with another chip so I have no idea what happened. Anyway, I'm goint to RMA them both. At least it didn't take the RAM with it.
