My newegg experience today

Bam, now that's the way it should be..nice. Took a little while, but look what they did! You'd have to go through a whole ton of crap to get an issue like that resolved with other companies...say, like...SVC....good lord, SVC...

Sorry to hear about the hassle you have to go through.
I ordered a couple of cases a while back for systems I was building for clients. Both must have been droped off the same truck as both had broken door hinges that go over the USB ports on the bottom front of the case. I made one call and they said they would ship new doors to me. I figured a little box would come with 2 of the little door flaps in it. Wrong I got a big box the size of a case with 2 whole case fronts!

I hope they give you a nice suprize also.

This thread made me ROFLMAO

It appears that Lian-Li's quality is going to hell. I wonder if they got an alcoholic or a tweaker doing their QC? Last week I got a CD bezel that was either not anodized properly or had such a rough finish that it looked like shit. Just got a PC-V1200 and some idiot had bent the bottom of the case near where the wheels attach...pissed me off because it was obviously done during assembly and there was a nice QC sticker about 5" from it  I also found metal shavings in the case and another part of the case was missing some anodizing. It don't take a lot of crap leaving the factory to ruin your good name

Maybe Lian-Li finally decided to make their cases in mainland China?

Just thought I would update on the situation. I have had multiple communcations with customer service at newegg. They "special ordered" me a new bezel 2 months ago and I still have not received it yet. The customer service rep I am dealing with is checking on the status of my order. I just wish they would get me the bezel and be done with it. Love the case other than the broken bezel and the cheezey plastic feet.

That might have been the reason they wanted to RMA the whole case because they had no clue when the bezel would come in. No company stocks every little part for every item they carry. You might have been better off just getting the new case and sending back the broken bezel one and making sure they picked up the shipping.

I don't know if this was said or not, but remember that Newegg is the retailer not the manufacturer and would have to replace the whole product, not just a part. Unfortunately, because they are an online retailer you can't just take it back like your local BB. You have to ship it. That's the downside of buying online. Look at the big picture. How much have you saved overall by buying online vs B&M?

Sending back the case is not an option because it now has extra holes that I dont think they would appreciate.

BIG PICTURES AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Sucks to be you man, I have had no trouble with newegg. I cannot relate!

You're complaining about what, exactly? They don't keep hordes of extra parts in stock to send out to people who only have a tiny problem on one of the many products they sell. I'm not sure what else you expected.

Doesn't matter! That's what makes GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Stores that have excellent customer service will bend the f**k over backwards to make their customers happy. Newegg is indeed excellent but, as you've noticed, they have a banner on every gaming/hardware site and are getting HUGE business so they aren't as desperate to satisfy every customer in every way like when they were smaller.

Have any of you ever got Newegg to send you out a replacement part without sending the damaged product back?
Yes, Newegg has sent me a side panel for an Antec SLK3700AMB case (I have bought 3 of those cases from them). They did not want the old one back and shipped me one in an entire case box (mighty big box for a thin side panel). Anyway, I didn't say that they shipped me a 'New' one for a reason, the finish on it wasn't nearly as nice as it is on the rest of the case. But, since it worked, I was happy. BTW: It didn't have the little thumbscrews for the back, but did include the latches which is where I was having the problem.

SO true that I had to Quote you... I scrolled up and BAM! There was a Newegg banner on top of this page :D .

I don't see why this is such a big deal (from NewEgg's perspective.) It sounds like the broken part is basically one of Lian-Li's universal drive covers...are they shipping some of their cases with them now? Why can't NewEgg just send a new universal drive cover to this guy?

My thoughts exactly. But they keep dragging their feet on it. I dont know if I just got the customer service rep that hide in the supply closet all day and sleeps or what.
