So finally I upgraded and I am more than happy.. w00tz0r!!!1

*My Rig*
Intel P4 2.8C@ 3.5 GHz (250*4) | Intel i865G Gigabyte 8IG1000
TwinMOS CL2.5 512 MB @ 415 RAM Dual Channel (2X256 DDR 400)
Gigabyte Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB @ 9800XT (Max 425.5/378 -- Cooled by Giant III)
Seagate Barracuda 80 GB SATA 7200 RPM
Sony 16X DVD Rom
Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1
A4Tech Wireless Optical Mouse | Focus (130+ keys) Keyboard
Compaq 21" V1100 Monitor

Current scores w/ Radeon 9800XT speeds are

625X in 3dmark03
191XX in 3dmark01
46.6XX in Aquamark3
5211 in PCMark04
85XX CPU, 85XX MEM, 12XX HDD in PCMark02

Ran stable for over 1 hour at these speeds but temp was too high for me 51 C so I backed it down to 240 MHz FSB and currently running it at 3.36 GHz w/ only 1.55V cpu voltage.. ran at 1.55V cpu voltage for 3.5GHz also.. w00tZ0r!!!1

The P4 is assembled in Costa Rica and is of SL6Z5 microcode and M0 stepping. Got lucky I guess!

Ram is running at 2.5-3-3-6 Timings. I think system is pretty cool eh? Now to add 512 MB worth of ram and an Audigy 2 ZS and I am set! Ha!

Upgraded from a P4 1.8A @ 2.53 GHz, 512 MB DDR 333 @ 372 MHz, 40 GB IDE 7200 RPM etc.

Now I am running it at 3.5 GHz but after 3 hrs of usage the mobo was really hot (passively cooled northbridge) what should i do?

I am thinking about getting an i875P chipset mobo.. but is it worth it or shall i spend more dough on ram? Please help me make a decision..

Put a side case fan in blowing on the mb if you dont have one.

With some tweaking 22k is possible with that setup in 3D2001,

I can get the same scores with my IS7 or IC7. Save your money.

Ditto what Ted said. Look at my "www" link for some pictures.

Its good to have an intake fan blowing air right on to the CPU or ducted in to the CPU HSF. I usually put my side hole where the middle to bottom of the fan is lined up with videocard to help keep it cool and then most of the air blows on to the CPU.

Dont bother getting a new mobo. Major waste of time & money. BTW 51C isnt bad for the CPU at all. If thats with you running Prime95 then leave it at 3.5 and dont worry about a thing.

Most games, etc dont come near the load that Prime95 does.

Your benches look good. Not as good as mine, but very respectable. :) Wait until I get a NV40.

Actually nothing is cooling my cpu except stock cooling.. I installed 3 80 mm fans now.. two on the back side and 1 on the top hole in my case and there is plenty of air flow.. the drawback is.. my fucking power supply cant take it.. damn those 300W generic power supplies.. I kept on getting restarted when the 2 back case fans were running and my comp was pumping 3.5GHz.. so now my stable overclock has decreased to 3.22 GHz which sucks ass..

My side panel is always open.. coz I have a giant III installed and air flow is what it needs.. I am going to grab another 300W generic POS psu and use it for all of my case fans plus giant III fans.. DAMN THAT 300W PSU!

I think this oughta do the trick.. and seriously how do you people cope w/ so many power cables.. my case is a friggin mess.. there are so many cables its driving me mad.. molex connectors are falling out of my case literally.. oh well if thats the way it has to be then so be it..

I think the reason why it cant go above 3.5GHz is neither the mobo, nor the ram, nor the processor.. its the friggin PSU.. another 300W oughta take care of that!

Oh well.. thanx for the help people.. you just saved me 50+ bucks on an i875P mobo!

Btw how can I hit 22k? what kindof tweaking are you people talking about?

Also my Aquamark score increased to 47.2,
PCMark04 score was 5301
PCMark02 CPU was 87XX, MEM, 86XX, HDD 12XX
3dmarks remained the same..

You could just get a 430 Antec or similiar power supply and that wold really take care of it and you wouldn't need to have 2 power supplies in the case.

dude.. the problem is that the best I can get is a 400W power supply in my country and that isnt even guaranteed to run at that many watts.. so I have to stick w/ 2 300W power supplies.. I hate cables but to achieve the overclocks I want I have to put case fans and 300W is insufficient for that purpose.. :(

Cool, then you are going about it the right way. I consider that a great overclock on air. Better than I have done.:)

Wouldn't it kick ass to have a friend in the US who would order a PC Power & Cooling PSU for you and then ship it? ;)

where do you think I got my Giant III from? But you cant always ask for favors

That's why you resort to kidnapping, duh.

Seriously, nice system dude. I don't know what's all available to you, but besides Antec, take a look at Enermax, Sparkle/Fortron, and Kingwin.
