I now have two LCDs, side by side, for dual monitors. One is a Acer AL1914, the other is a LG Flatron, both are 19". The LG is newer (I bought it about a year after I got the Acer), and when I span a window across both LCDs, the Acer seems to be tinted slightly yellow, where the LG is white. I put the brightness all the way up on the Acer, but it is still yellow tinted. I set the color settings (switched them up a bit) no difference, and I turned up the Contrast, but If I set it past 70 out of 100, everything just looks completely white (things that are supposed to be gray, or any light color). What should I do to change this? Do you guys want pics?

I don't know if there is anything you can do...when doing multiple monitors spanning the same image it is a good idea to have the same brand and model or at least the same panel used for all monitors. I don't know the effect of age on an lcd but that could be a factor also..

I can adjust my colors manually, on the Acer monitor. I have played with it a bit, but I can't get it right.

this is a pretty normal issue when not useing two of the same monitors. your issuse is made worse by the fact they are also two different manufactures :(

normally the only thing to do is to take the better of the two monitors and tone it's white level down to the crappier monitors level.

you will have to mess with white levels and you may never get it perfect because of the different makes and models and there differing whites.

set both to 6500k and go from there messing around with your gfx cards drivers color settings. or if your monitors alow it, set your own white level manually.

Are they both on analog?

I'm going to be getting another monitor, probably the same one (BenQ FP91G+). I'm a little worried because one will be analog, one will be digital. Wonder if I'll notice a difference?

Other than getting it calibrated by either utility or professional there's no way of fixing it. Sounds like the acer's color default color temperatures are off, I've got the same problem on my vp930 and am currently pondering purchasing something like this http://www.colorvision.com/profis/profis_view.jsp?id=581
That will calibrate each monitor individually but the Express version doesn't support doing multiple monitors to be the same.

Yea, I figure I will just take down the brightness of the LG to make it look similar to the Acer. I never noticed the Acer being more yellow or off white before I got the LG :D

but it will leave the other monitor untouched right?

Is one on analog and one on digital? I have two 2005wfps and there is a significant difference between the analog and digital outputs. The one on analog does look kinda brown or yellow. I need to get a dual DVI video card...

My Acer is Analog only. My LG can be DVI or VGA. My 6600GT has one DVI input and one analog input.

If the LG is hooked up via DVI, I would theorize that that is the answer. (DVI vs analog hookup)

The LG is outputing via VGA (it can do both VGA and DVI) and being converted from VGA to DVI via an adaptor @ the video card hookup.
