The other day I installed my Thermalright SP94 w/ a 92mm tornado. It came out really nice, results are in the sig.

Here's a picture of this massive thing:

very nice oc Chomp. with an oc like that it makes having a fan like that more worthwhile. btw, get some canned air on that board. :p

Well I couldn't make my mind up on which fan to complement that heatsink, so I just went with the Tornado because it'd give me plenty of headroom. I'm just waiting for my dad to bring his compressor so I can blow all that dust out of my pooter.

Anyone know of a good rheobus(sp?) or fan controller? :D

What are your temps??? Obviously out ofcase factored in....

What did you have before, and how much better are the temps???

That fan is a bit too loud for me but I was thinking of getting the SP94 to run my 2.4@3.5....Can it mod take a 120mm fan???

I like the design of the SP94 as I hear it allows for better airflow to the mosfets and unlike my swifttech does not scour hot air everywhere blasting out the bttom and bombarding the ram in slot1, NB chipset, Mosfets, and even VGA card...

That looks really nice man.

I was contemplating between that swiftec (the P4 version) and the one I got. My roommate might get that swifttec though. They're both great coolers.

i thought about getting an SP-97 for my system, but the main reason i didn't is the price, the swiftech hs was like $10 cheaper, and my friend recommended it over the Thermalright heatsink. i'd like to see a comparison between the two for overclocking though, i bet it'd be pretty close.

controls up to 4 fans and 4 temp monitors, blue lcd, multicolor leds around controller knob, comes in silver or black.

I have it, not worth the 50 bucks IMO, it looks slick... but the fan control knob is too small and well.. too slick.

Every half turn or so it locks up, and it's almost impossible to turn partly because of the resistance, and also because the knob is so damn small... and it doesn't potrude much from the face, letting me only get about 2/16" of finger contact with the knob. And that part of the knob is the curved part.

If coolermaster had simply grooved the knobs OR loosened it up a bit, I would consider it worth the $50. But it's a fan controller... controlling the fans should have been on the top of CoolerMasters list of functions when they designed it.. not "OOO SHINY FLASHY LCD THINGY"

EDIT: Got my 2.8C running at 3.49GHz so.. 3.5 rounded. Full load temps are vary from 25 to 27C depending on case temp... which usually hang around 30C. Corsair XMS PC3200 LL... only 1 stick of 512 though... set me back 150 bucks :( ...it's good stuff though.. everything seems so "snappy" in XP if you know what I mean.

sounds like yours is faulty. should be smooth grooved feeling when you turn it, barely any resistance. nothing should lock up.

i got the same thing except ic7-max3 :)
