What's my new bottleneck? I do not OC because I do not know how. I fried a hard drive OCing my Athlon 2500.

How do you fry a hard drive OCing?

The worst you can do is corrupt the data unless you really screwed something up.

I didnt lock PCI bus or something. I lost the drive. It is a Seagate 80GB ATA sitting in my closet.

I'm assuming you've tried reformatting it? Does it show up in BIOS?

Yeah I tried reformatting. It would always get stuck on a file. It mighta turned out to be a RAM issue, I don't remember. When I got the new drive, it would keep restarting and I had to change RAM voltages.

lol thats the first thing i noticed when i read that.

If you've got the cash to spend, get a 74GB Raptor... use the 160 just for storage (or programs/games if you manage to use up the 74GB!!!)

I only got 37 gigs used so far. So with 90 gigs free (I never bothered to format the other 23 gigs), I don't think I'd be getting a new HDD anytime soon. A Raptor would be nice... but then I'd have to sell my 160GB and I busted the SATA connector, the plastic snapped off, it is now just metal male connectors sticking out. I now have the female cable with the broke off plastic still inside taped on... ghetto.

...why not use -both- drives; the raptor for OS/Proggies, the 160GB for everything else?

I wouldn't use both because i only got 36 gigs filled. I don't need 74+160 gigs of storage. One or the other only. And my PSU is an antec 380w... I don't even know if it'd put enough power out.
