My mouse has stopped working.. I have wondered on to this site only using the [tab]

I have switched mice, same problem... the mouse lags and just stops working all together. Every other app. works fine and fast. so I dont think it is a memory problem.

Please help... it is very very hard to use

:(

Is it a USB mouse or PS2? If it's a PS2 and you have a USB connection and mouse, I would try switching it to see if you can narrow the problem down to your PS2 port. (The other way around if the USB is giving you problems)

Just to ask the obvious, are the keyboard and mouse plugged in to the right ports (assuming they're not USB)?

its a usb but I have a ps2 hookup for it

I dont think it is a ps2 or a usb problem, I think it is a computer problem..

It just froze up, I restart it works fine for 30 seconds.. lags and dies.

I plug it into a usb it works for 10 seconds... and dies..I put the ps2 thing back on it, and it still wont work... then restart and start the whole thing over again.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the device, it seems to be working.. if it messes up... ill be back.

If its a Microsoft, yep - mostly everyone (including I) has this problem. I went through four mice. Got a logitech MX500 and havent had a problem for six months.
