What do you think of this set up?....is it worth it to get the E6600 for the extra $95?

I think the $100 should be spend on better video card, x1900 gt or 7900gs...

First off, what will you be doing with the system?

If you're going to be gaming I would definitely get a better video card. I would recommend this but since you're getting a Shuttle it won't fit alongside that tv tuner.

Have you considered getting an SG-01 and mATX motherboard? You can get both for roughly $250 total, then you could get the better video card or processor with money to spare.

With the SG-01 you get the added benefit of being able to re-use the case (new motherboards for Shuttles aren't readily available) and you can use pretty much any power supply you want (if the one in the Shuttle goes bad then it will be hard to replace).

Shuttle's do have a smaller footprint (the SG-01 is 7" longer, though it is roughly the same width and height), so if you're trying to keep the footprint down then the Shuttle is a good choice.

Get an x1900AIW. They're cheap, clock well, run games great, and have a built in TV tuner.

alright thanks guys...I appreciate the responses...do you think I will have any problem with either of those video cards fiting in my shuttle case?
