I was bored and wandered out into the front yard. There were some bird chirps from the hedges in front of my house and as I wandered over there, a bird shot out and buzzed my shaved head. He(?) landed on a nearbye tree and began to scold me.

AHA! A nest, maybe? I rushed back in and got my camera and new tripod. After snapping about 60 pictures, managed to save a few that weren't too sucky.

Momma giving me the evil eye...

Poppa on my railing, looking like he was pretty mad.

Momma again, this time from the back of the hedge

This guy was buzzing around so I snapped 2 shots, one of them came out good.

What lens were you using. I gave up on birds, with a 300mm lens I can never get close enough to get a good shot. I think I managed to get a handfull of decent shots out of thousands.

Canon 70-200 F/4 L Getting close wasn't a big problem as they weren't going to abandon the nest unless I really made a pest of myself.
