My First Mod.. Need Help

Hello, thanks for looking.

The case that I will be using for this project is a Lian Li V800B. Here are some renders of what I want to do with the case. I just need opinions or if anyone sees anything that can be a problem or even thoughts.

1. Will be a LCD installed into 2 5.25" bays.
2. This will be the hardest thing involved in modding this case. I wana mod my Logitech Z-5500 control panel to be built into the right side of the case. I have not yet pulled the unit apart, I doubt it is gona fit or the arranged the way I have it in the render but there is hope. This is my biggest concern of the project. Also on the rear and the side of the unit there are inputs, this will serve as another problem. Here are links to what the unit looks like - front view here and the back view here
3. This will be a simple grille, on the other side will be mounted a Raptor X with the window visible through the grille. I will possibly add lighting to make it visible during the night.
4. This will be the radiator for the WC setup, not a lot of room inside so I will be mouting it to the outside of the case. I might run into problems running the tubing once PCI cards are in place.
5. Holes for hose pass through.

Everything looks really good and planned out but i think it would be better to install the
radiator backwords from where you have it and make the holes by it like i did in the
picture with red. Because the way i figured it you would have to go around the pci cards (green)
instead of straight at the cpu. My artistic ability in PB is real bad so anyone who wants to flame on it go ahead lol.

The only prob I see with that layout is that the power supply is seated right were your holes are marked, it think it would be too tight.

Here is a good example: (note not my pc)

Ehh my picture was bad but i ment the radiator would be moved back and it would cover
your original holes, making enough room for the tubes to go in just before the power
supply. It should fit or you can move the radiator a more back if anything.

/s... one hell of a firt-time mod, although i hope all turns out well, keep us updated. Also where are you going to run the cables from the z-550 controller out to the speakers? you could always notch out a pci blankout plate and use that, just like the ghetto front panel audios use. anyways, good luck it looksl ike if it turns out well it will be one hell of a mod.
 
Thats one hell of a first mod, man. How long have you been building pc's for? Are you sure you can take this thing on?

I think that you should try and make a plan that involves steps such that if you cant complete one of the steps, or things like theyre getting too hairy, it would still be a decent mod. this way you dont ruin a case/computer/other component and still have a decent mod.

I have built PC's since about 16, 17 I am now 22. I am very good with PC's as I am in the Information Technology field as my occupation, but I have never custom moded a PC case before. Everything will be well planned out before I cut anything, especially after seeing some newbies attempt at a cd window (oh boy I hope the thread was a joke).

My father does tool dye work for a living so he has experience cutting metals and other things, if I run into anything I can not do I will have him assist me. As of right now I do not see any crazy cuts that need to be made, simple circles and squares.

As of right now I am still researching radiator sizes so I can try the idea that was suggested of flipping it (thus avoiding the PCI cards). I will also be disassembling the Z-5500 main unit tomor to see what I have to work with. I hope it is not to complex and crazy. Sorry if there are any spelling errors just came back from the bar. Will update with images tomor, CYA guys.
