Hi Guys,

I am newbie on this forum.
Last week I received my Dell 1905FP and after opened the box, I have had some doubts about this package.
- I couldn´t find the printed manual or Warranty Policies on the box. Is it normal?
- How can I identify if my Dell 1905FP is refurbished or not?

Today I have 3 LCD monitors ( 2 Samsung - 151BM and 171n - 0 dead pixel) and this Dell. This Dell monitor I found 1 dead pixel (black colour on top and left side). I am very sad about this dead pixel.

Thanks a lot.

try masturbating the pixel.

call dell up and invoke the "21 Day Satisification Guarentuee". Tell them you are not satisified with the product and would like to return/exchange it. If they give you trouble press for a supervisor because you are entitled to a refund/exchange granted that you haven't had the monitor for 21 days yet.

I can´t call Dell support and invoke the "21 Day Satisfaction Guarantee" because I live at Brazil. The brazilian Dell have not available it.

What about other questions in my thread?

Haa, I have news. Today I did some tests and I found the pixel is not completely dead. The pixel reproduces red colour and black colour.
May I survived the pixel?

Thanks

Dell in every country has SOME kind of a Satisfaction guarantee (here in Canada, it is 30 days). You should call them and bitch :)

However, if it's only 1 pixel, and it's not dead, maybe you could live with it? Or does it really annoy you. I find that, if it 's not near the middle of the screen, it's easier to live with.

Stevie,

I would prefer to maintain this monitor and to try to survive the pixel.

Do you know How can I identify if my monitor is refurbished?

My monitor didnt come with any manual or warranty papers, and it was new, so I think this is normal. Ive heard of people gently rubbing the dead pixel area and actually getting it to work properly.

Hi there

I have a 1905FP Dell monitor, I have had it for almost for four months and had no problems with it. It is a good monitor to use and have bought a Dell AS500 soundbar. Here is a picture.
