my computer won't start

Hello, I had recently fried my last motherboard, an abit IC7, and I just got a new ic7-g in the mail today. But when I turn my computer on, nothing comes up on screen. It's not my video card, I've tested it on the computer i'm on now. I've also tried clearing the CMOS via the jumper settings, and I've tried only hooking up my video card, with and without the harddrive or disc drives. Everytime, I get nothing on screen. Oh, it's not my lcd either, it works on this computer as well.

Could this motherboard be bad? What else should I check/do before sending it back RMA? I'd appreaciate any input. Thanks

Have you tested or swapped out your PS?

Exactly what happens when you try to power on the computer?
Fans spin?
Beeps?
Errors?
Nothing?

Does your MB light come on when you plug in the power?
 
Try just having CPU and ram installed and see if you get beep codes. If no beep codes with that, try just with CPU.
 
I have not swapped the PSU, but I don't have an extra one, I might go buy one today.

Everything starts up, all fans spin, disc drives light up, hd starts, but I do not get a beep that I would normally get soon after starting. The motherboard light is green while the PSU is on, and it is orange and green when I start the computer.

I have tried starting in bare bones setup as well, with only the cpu, HSF, and 1 stick of 512 ram, still same problem. no beep codes either, and the speaker is connected.
 
Have you been able to test your CPU in your other system?.... I just got a 2.4B back from Intel yesterday that went tit's up on me....
 
try reseating the CPU... also try turning comp on without CPU inserted - if you won't get any beeps - the mobo is prolly dead...
 
ok, well its working now! I re seated everything, cleared the CMOS again for 3-4 mins, tried again, and it worked. Although the first time I started up it said something about my cpu not working, or have been changed, and told me to go to the cpu softmenu. But after I O'c'd a bit, it doesn't say that anymore.

I am having one concern though, on the boot it says my memory is running at 210MHz, in dual channel, 210/210 actually. But my memory is rated at 433mhz? I have 1GB Corsair XMS3500 433mhz, CL2. Is this right?
