Right now I have Arch Linux running on it, I have tried K3B and Brasero to burn dual layer dvd's, nothing works.

I'm trying to burn Windows 7, won't let me. It gives me this error before ejecting the DVD:

:-( More than 50% of space will be *wasted*!
Fatal Error at Startup: Wrong Medium Type

I'm at my whits end, I've tried my distro's forum, no one has an answer. So here I am with you guys.

Thanks in advance.

windows 7 doesnt require a dual layer DVD. its trying to save you a few bucks as dual layer dvds are way more expensive than single layer dvds.

Well, dual layer DVD's are all I have available..
:( !

Instead it's making me spend more money!

man you'd be wasting money putting it on a DL, those fuckers are like a dolalr a pop vs like 10 cents a pop for a SL.
