can you do 1T command rate at those speeds?

Hm..I'll try tommorow...I'm also going to try 2.8Ghz tommorow...going to run a burn in program overnight with CPU at 2.7GHz.

Right now ASUS needs to get a new BIOS out fast, the newest one cant OC worth crap. I'm using the original one and it takes about 10 restarts before the board will boot up with overclocking...after it boots up its rock solid. Guess its the chance I take for buying a board thats a few weeks old.

Thx for the nice comments ;)

good luck

btw, two things:
1. small pics
2. use macro. the image won't be so blurry ;)

managed to get my hands on an unreleased bios from asus for this board...didn't help with overclocking though :(, maybe the next public release will fix things up

if you want the unreleased BIOS you can private message me...

BIOS posted at 4.4GHz:

I found a way to get the ram higher than 1.95 Volts. ASUS includes an overclocking program which allows you to give up to 2.5Volts!! and 1.5625 Volts on the CPU. But if I raise the FSB, the PC just freezes, im going to try clockgen to see if it works with the ram voltage up higher. Also setting the CPU to 1.5625 volts only gives it 1.425 volts. So I'm sure ASUS will probaly fix this in the next BIOS release. Keep this in mind if you are going to buy this motherboard!

I got the CPU at 2.805GHz - didnt last long enough for screenshot (sorry for blurry pic...got excited and couldnt hold camera still lol):

2.797 seemed stable: and only 39c

Now im waiting for ASUS to send me a BIOS that can up the core on the CPU or a new version of the AIBooster program that will allow me to. I have a feeling this CPU has a lot more to give :).

I thought i was the only one having problems with this board. I'm experiencing the exact same thing, super stable when its running, but when i go to restart, it is a pain. also, after rebooting, sometimes the overclock doesn't stay.. meaning i have it at 2600 and reboot and it will show 2000 instead. but when i go to bios, it shows my HTT still at 260.

anyways, awesome clock, just wanted to know if you ran into any of my problems and if you ahd any solutions.

BIOS problems aside pretty nice. Have you considered upgrading the cooler? Seems 3Ghz might be yours with a better BIOS and cooler

I'm at 2.8GHz stable right now. Yea...I'll upgrade when I get some more money :).
