Multiple Power Supplies

Hey folks, I was wondering is there is a universally accepted way to use more than one power supply in one single motherboard case.

Example:

I want to run a system with 3 or 4 way SLI/Crossfire GPUs (Like the Geforce Titan) and have a power supply dedicated to video cards whereas all of the other components would run on the main power supply.

I know I can mount it and wire it but how do I get it to all turn on all at the same time?

If your case has room to mount another PS, then that would work good.(or customize)

If not, if you can afford 3-4 titans, you can afford a good proper PS.
