Multimonitor and projector question

I'm setting up a computer that currently is connected to a projector and a monitor -- there has been a request to add a second, larger monitor that requires two connections.

Right now the computer has a 4670 in it -- what should I do to add two more video outs? The computer is mostly used for premiere and photoshop, no gaming.

I'll probably have to change the power supply and get a new video card or two -- are there four-output cards available? Would a second card just work?

If you use XP or win 7 and have a free PCI slot then this is your best bet

It can drive up to 4 monitors at the same time and it uses a pci slot. So you can either replace your 4670 or use both.

Resolution is limited to 1280x1024 when using DVI

If you use vista then you can only use the Matrox card alone.

I'd say visit matrox's site, there's probably one that fits your needs.

There are also the quadro nvs 420 which supports either 16x or 1x pci-e slots. It can handle 4 displays at 2560x1600

Those cards are all massive wastes of money, just get a second card - problem solved for less than $100. That NVS 420 is over $400!

oooh, looks like a three-port 5760 would be good -- dual-link DVI for one monitor, displayport (to an adapter) for the other monitor and HDMI for the projector!

Just add a second card, it will "just work" with the drivers... Forget about display port adapters.
