I have a MB with two built in gigabit Ethernet adapters. I plug into a 4 port 10/100 router then to a cable modem (insightbb).
I dont think I ever use up the 10/100 bandwidth with a cable modem, Cable modem may use 5% of the 100 mb bandwith on peak.
OTOH I do have an extra port and extra nic and extra 10/100 RJ45. It is tempting just to plug it all in.
Am I correct this will just load up my router and slow things down more?
