I was thinking that the best setup for running Three monitors (a large central LCD and 2 smaller LCDs) would be to put the large monitor on a primary video card for gaming, and then put the auxillary LCDs on perhaps a secondary card, some cheap PCI junk.

Just wanted some input on if this is the best configuration for that particular setup.
 
It doesn't really matter whether you use a single dual-head card for the primary and a secondary display, or use a dedicated card for the primary display. You might lose a few points in benchmarks, but that's all. Just use good cards which like each other's drivers (i.e. no nVidia and ATI in the same system. Matrox works pretty much always with anything).
 
I have my primary LCD (HP L2335) running of my X800XT:pE in DVI and my 2 secondary Samsung 172X's running off my PCI Radeon 9200 (One 172X in DVI the other in Analog)

Works fine..I have no issues.
