Some very nice stuff there. But, I've seen better, and I've seen worse.

I can't decide which one I like the best. :(

Good luck to everyone in the contest, results should be out soon. There were some really good entries, I was suprised, not sure how well known the contest was.

i thought that looked a little weird.......i'm sure if it wins he'll be disqualified with all the people who email them.

What's sad is that mod could have been done in less than a day with like $50 ....
 
I really like the Marshall head mod... being a guitar (actually bass, close enough) player myself.

eheh......I haven't even gotten an email.......i'm pretty sure I'd at least make the top 10 though......oh well cant win'em all. I'm waiting for them to announce winners on the site.

It is an outrage and an insult to the case modding community that you let Josh Lomas 's case win. My reasoning is simple: The case does not exist. It is mearly a 3d rendered picture. If you look closely at it, that is very obvious. He even talks about how it is a "design" in the threads he created on various forums. PLEASE remove him from the runnings, he does NOT deserve the honor of being ranked with real case modders, and it is a slap in the face to everyone else in the competition.

MSI would need the five winners to supply a detail description of the case mod, how you did it, other mod-related experience (all in 500 words) and one picture of you and your case-mod work (<400Kb). For the first and second prize winners, product purchases have to be made through MSI only before 12/31/2004. Product value will be based on the market price (MSRP) of each product.

:D I still give MSI credit for holding the contest and supporting the community. I hope there isn't too much backlash and make them regret their efforts. I have the same feelings as the rest of you but you know how venomous we in the community can be... ;)

thats mostly why im pissed. its a really great thing theyve done and this jerk went and tried to ruin it for everyone.
 
Man that is pathetic! I can't beleive they even let that in the running. Sucks that someone got cut because of that fraud =(

It was a render. Look at the case, it's much different.

Did you even read what he said about it? What the fuck is he explaining? He entered a render into the contest. Not the real thing like he's supposed to. Boo on him. MSI is a bunch of wankers :D :p

heh, I never saw this thread when it was first posted, but that picture is so small that for all you can tell in it, the machine is simply a cardboard box thats been 'modded' to look like a modded pc ;)
 
either way, he walked away with a nice Ati card... hell, i'd hire the guy because of his bullshitting skillz. anyone could use a guy like that in their marketing department! ;-)
