y is that usb flash drives work w/o batteries,
but the mp3 players i`ve seen need to be powered on to work as usb flash drive?
 
The flash drive does need power but it takes the power from ur PSU when u plug in the flash drive it powers on. LOL the MP3 is a portable HDD made so u can listen to music on the go. The MP3 can but used as a portable HDD but its really just for listing music
