I currently have an MX Duo but would like to purchase the MX510 for gaming as it is lighter than the MX700 mouse.

Will I be able to use the wireless keyboard along with the MX510 via a USB connection while my MX700 is chilln in the charger?
 
yes, I've done it myself. My Keyboard is from the Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical bundle and I hated the mouse. I use an MX510 alongside it.

That's the real beauty of USB. My Laptop has three keyboards (Internal, External PS/2 when docked and a USB keyboard when docked) And 4 pointing devices that all work concurrently.
