Mouse issues since windows update

This is driving me mad. I've tried searching for this issue and while I've found some "fixes" nothing seems to be working beyond the current session. I have a razer naga chroma mouse that works perfectly fine. Since the latest major fall creators update or whatever Microsoft just pushed, my mouse does not respond to pointer movement on the initial pc startup. All the side buttons work, all the top buttons work, but no movement.

To get around this issue I either need to restart the pc multiple times, disable and enable the device via hardware properties multiple times, uninstall and reinstall drivers, or plug the mouse in different ports multiple times.

It works fine on any other pc. I've tried reinstalling mouse drivers, synapse, video drivers, disabling fast boot (read this can help?) nothing seems to work for a permanent fix and I need to do it all over again next cold boot.

Any ideas?

EDIT forgot to mention its Windows 10 if that wasn't clear. Sig hasn't been updated in some time.

I had issues with my new Corsair M65 Pro with Win 10 myself.

I recall having to let it install the Microsoft Mouse software for the Corsair mouse to properly identify in Device Manager. I then installed the Corsair software and all was fine.

It's almost like they still want their (MS) drivers installed even though it isn't their mouse.
