Mounting without a rad box...

Has anyone found other ways to mount a 120mm radiator to a 80mm opening without using a rad box?

I'm looking for something that doesn't increase the height of the tower by too much (radiator mounted on top).
 
You can drill holes on the back and use long bolts or some kind of spacer. You could drill fan holes and mount the rad inside the top.
 
How about a minature force field so you can put it anywhere you want with no fuss or muss? Oh shoot I forgot it is only 2005. :( So what is wrong with a rad box?
 
Space/modding issues. It won't fit into the box I have for shipping it around. It also has a greater chance of being damaged when carrying... :D
 
its hard to compromise between portabillity and having a external wc set up. My recomendation, buy a 1 X 120 Rad, there are a ton of ways you can set those up in cases internally. BTW I wouldn't travel with a wc set up unless you check that system ALLL of the time... its not fun trust me.
 
Ok... so you don't want to mount it on the outside because you ship your case around a lot. So then why don't you mod a bit and mount it on the inside like I had suggested?
 
With a mid-tower case, that isn't always easy or possible. Especially with a 120mm rad...

I think I'll just have to deal with the clearance issues of mounting it on top with a rad box...
