My PC's showing it's age in the processor department and as I'm using my PC more than I have in a long while I'm in need of a little upgrade. My GPU and my HDD's are all good, no problems, so I'm looking for the best motherboard and processor bundles preferably with at least 2gig of RAM. The kicker: around £130, or thereabouts. Any advice?
 
increase your budget?

By the generic statement and not answering the questions, I'm going to assume you have a Dell computer that is 5 years old and tell you one thing:

Don't waste money upgrading your old box. Start from scratch and increase the budget to 600 pounds. If you have a custom built computer, at least answer the questions.

Little bit of non-cutting edge gaming (hence no need for new GPU), photoshop and illustrator, web browsing and video watching.

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Budget is between £130-£150 pounds.

3) Where do you live?

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU and Motherboard, RAM would be a bonus.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Pentium E2140 (Dual Core 1.60Ghz) (Shit), Mobo: ASUS V-P5G31, 2 sticks of generic DDR2 1GB Ram from Maplins, Radeon HD 4670 512MB, Creative X-Fi 5.1 Sound Card, Generic 500w power supply from Maplins.

No extra features necessary apart from the basics.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
64bit Windows 7


Thanks for calling me on that. I'm not starting from scratch because I don't have the budget, I'm just looking for some good bundle deals.

Does your power supply have a 4+4 12v connector?
You should upgrade the power supply to something better.

Also, the V-P5G31 is not listed on Asus' website. Is it a barebones kit?
Can you order from newegg? Which website(s) can you buy from?
