I'm currently running Thunderbird in three places. My home office, my laptop and on a flash drive.
The problem is that when one instance of Thunderbird recognizes that I have new mail, it stops the other instances of thunderbird from downloading that mail again when I look at it from the other machine. I'm currently using a POP connection and the primary email in question is a gmail account.
I disabled the POP connection from deleting mail off of the server so I know it's still there, it's just a matter of having the other Thunderbirds recognize it so all my machines can have the same catalogs of emails. Should I switch to IMAP?
Thanks.
