Ok I have a Hansol 701A Monitor, has been working fine for a long time. Anyways all of a sudden this morning I turn on the computer and the monitor wont come up. The light on the monitor is yellow, as if its in standby mode, so there is power to it.

I tried a different LG monitor on the computer and it worked fine, so did an old 15" I had sitting around, so the computer itself is working. I took the Hansol monitor and put it on another computer and it did the same thing, yellow light, no picture.

Has anyone had this problem? I don't want to lose this 17" if I can help it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hansol---that takes me back to the old days. Sorry but it's time to give that monitor a purple heart and an honerable discharge (pun intended). It's fried. Capacitors are probably fried so there's no safe way for the monitor to fire again. If it's really worth it to you, you can send it to a tv repair shop, but I'd spend my money on a new monitor.
