Is there a program avalible that allows you to monitor file transfer speeds from a usb device to a pc?

I know that you can go into the control panel and system devices. By looking at the properties for the USB root hub you can see the transfer speed. If you are looking for a benchmark program for external harddrives I'd suggest you use Hd Tach.
 
thanks mate, the contro, pannel doesn't have anything to do with system devices, but the HD Tech is what i really wanted cheers
