Some guy on Craigslist is shilling his BenQ 2420z for $220. Worth it?
Are you looking to switch it up for a particular reason (144 hz, etc)? If not, it's probably not going to be that much of an upgrade. Might want to save your money and get something more expensive but also more noticeably improved. The price is about right, though, if it's in good condition. Only a little high.

Acer G257HU at around 250$ perhaps. For non-FPS games and general use 1440p and IPS should suit your needs better than 144hz TN.

Thanks for the tips you guys. No particular reason for upgrading, other than the monitor I have now is aging and wanted to 'upgrade'

Another guy is shilling a LG 29UB55 for $250 with warranty still intact.

That seems pretty good actually if he would give you the invoice for warranty purposes, though I'm wondering why he wouldn't return it. (Actually, LG says its warranty is non-transferable: http://www.lg.com/us/commercial/display/pdf/2013 LG Commercial Monitor 3 Year Warranty.pdf). Ultra-wide IPS is going to look much better than your previous display, but be aware that it will be more sluggish for gaming.

Still a good bet, though, if you don't see any visible defects/damage.

Edit: There's also this from the HotDEALS section: QNIX QX2710 27" 1440p Monitor $200

Bleh, torn. The guy bought the monitor from Newegg using rebates and AMEX, doesn't want to pay the shipping cost to return it. He also says he's "pretty sure" if I claim the monitor was a gift and produce the original invoice (which he has), the warranty would be valid. I'll have to check on that first....

EDIT: Checked with LG, apparently they do honor the warranty if the monitor is a gift and has the original invoice.

Not bad. With luck you'll never have to deal with them.

If it's not too late, I'd like to recommend the HP 25xw. Slightly larger than your existing display while maintaining your preferred 1080p resolution. Flicker free, almost glossy display, superior image quality in its price range (<$200).
