Hey.. I just got a new Seagate 80GB HDD, Installed it after some problems and got WinXP working. Whenever I restart my machine the screen setting are always wayyy off and f'ed up. The horizontal is all the way to the left, the screen is crooked, ect. I tried both the newest Omega ATI drivers and the ATI drivers straight from ATI.. I diddnt have this problem before I got the new HDD but I dont see how that could be it, Thanks.

Monitor Problems, Or so I think

that is strange. well, I'm no tech support but I'll give it a try since no one else has posted.
Order to try:
1.Try reseating the video card (simple but often overlooked)
2.Check whether the refresh rates are set to something your monitor can handle. Are u overriding the refresh with an ATI or Omega utility? Perhaps resolution is set too high?
3.Use an older version of drivers, the new one's from ATI actually cause some problems and I think the new Omega ones aren't too great either.
4.Try with your old hard drive and see if for some odd reason the new hard drive is actually causing the problem.
5.Check whether when you installed the new hard drive you actually moved something or even screwed something in too tight or somehow caused something to short due to grounding (grounding can cause many weirdo problems).
Remember to have an adequate power supply for all your components and you did set the jumpers to master if you're using your hard drive as the master and slave if it's slave. Also that you have good airflow in your case to keep your comp happy.
