So currently I think one of the monitors on one of my systems is going bad, but wanted to just confer with the [H] crew before going this route.

The monitor in question is a Westinghouse 2410NM. The system that is affected is running a Radeon 5850. The 2410NM was initially connected directly via HDMI between the 5850 and the monitor, but colors were washed out, and detail was missing from textures at timse and text. No changes in configuration appeared to work, so I used a HDMI-to-DVI adapter to use one of the DVI ports on the 5850, which resulted in colors and picture detail that was to be expected (the monitor previously had been used with a GeForce 8800 GTS, using the same HDMI-to-DVI connector, so the picture essentially looked identical with either card.

Anyway, currently every so often the screen will essentially appear as the current image, only with most colors replaced by pink, green, etc. This can last anyone from only a second or two, to several seconds. Nothing I do can resolve the screen during this time.

I connected another monitor to the card (so had two monitors going, and when the screen distortion occurs on the 2410NM, the secondary monitor displays no such issues. I can move objects that currently appear distorted even from the 2410NM over to the secondary monitor, and the objects end up appearing normal against once switched.

At this point, it sounds like the 2410NM is likely going, but I haven't yet tried using the second monitor exclusively to see if any issues come up (I plan to do this Saturday evening).

Preliminarily though, what do you guys think? :)
