Hoping some of the pros here can help me before I drop 2 bills on a calibrator. I recently purchased a new 27 inch Apple Cinema Display to go with my MBP. My main issue is that the white point on my new display does not match my MBP. My best guess description is that my MBP is artic white and my cinema display is polar white. I'm trying to get it to match but I can't using the expert color panel in OSX. No matter what white point I set it to, the two just doesn't match.
Before getting my ACD, I had a Dell U2410. On my dell, I could individually adjust RGB gain levels and through that way get it to match my MBP perfectly. However, the ACD doesn't have RGB gain control.
I went to the Apple Store and spoke with a guy at the genius bar and he told me that with the included spyder pro software, I'll be able to adjust RGB on the ACD. Is this true? Any help would be appreciated.
